At Old West our artists prefer to charge by the piece rather than an hourly rate. All tattoos start at our shop minimum of just $100. The pricing will go up from the shop minimum based on size, location, and detail. To get an accurate price quote we recommend stopping by the shop for a brief consultation with one of our artists.
We prefer not to give price estimates via email, messenger, or over the phone. It is often far too difficult to accurately estimate the cost of a tattoo without determining the size, location, and detail of a design in order to fit each individual body. The best way to get an accurate price quote is to stop by the shop in person and we can give you a quote you can hold us to.
Old West will tattoo minors ages 16 and 17 with parental consent so long as you provide proper ID for both you and your child. You both will need state issued photo ID's with the same last name and address. If you do not have the same last name or address you will also need to bring a birth certificate for your child. If your child does not yet have a state issued ID a school ID with a birth certificate will be sufficient. If you have any further questions please do call us at 602-675-2364 we would love to help. We suggest wearing clothing appropriate to the location of the tattoo as well as your own comfort. Some tattoos take a while so make sure you have eaten and you are well hydrated. A snack is always helpful, especially for longer sittings. We don’t mind if you bring a friend but, we don’t have a lot of space so please don’t bring a crowd.
Some of the best tattoos are the spontaneous kind. That is why we make time for walk-ins daily at Old West Tattoo. We do walk-ins around our previously scheduled appointments on a first come first serve basis. Some ideas take more time, so keep in mind that not every tattoo is walk-in ready. Some projects may require an appointment so your artist can have time to properly prepare you designs. Stop in with your ideas and we can see what we can do for you today!
NAll appointments for tattoos will be made in person at the shop. You can send an inquiry through our site and we can set up a time for you to visit us in person so we can have a consultation. At that point we can go over your ideas, references, details and so on. We will also get you paired up with an artist, unless you already have an artist in mind that you would like to work with. All appointments require a minimum $40.00 non-refundable deposit that will be applied to the final cost of the tattoo. Deposits must be made in cash. We are always available between 12-8 PM, 7 days a week. Stop in any time during regular business hours and we will help you out!
We can make exceptions for out of state and travelling clients.
We ask that you notify your artist right away if you need to make any changes to your appointment. Please do so directly by calling the shop 620-675-2364. ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, but we understand that things happen. We ask that you are communicative in the event changes need to be made to your appointment, and generally we can work with you. If you no call no show you will forfeit your deposit. If cancellations or no shows become a pattern of behavior then your artist may request you bring in an additional deposit. It is up to the discretion of each individual artist to manage deposits. We respect our guests and their time. We certainly love our jobs but, we ask that you treat our time as if it is as valuable as your own.
Many of today's reputable and popular ink companies make vegan inks. Many of the inks we use are vegan. However, each artist has his or her preferences when it comes to ink. As tattoo artists we are going to choose the best possible product to get the job done and that ages well over time. Those inks of our choice may not be vegan but we can apply tattoos with only vegan ink if that is what you prefer. There is a lot of information out there these days so we suggest taking some time and doing your own homework as well. Talk with your artist before your appointment to be sure he or she has everything they might need for your tattoo.
Gift cards are available online and at the shop for purchase for your convenience! Gift cards for tattoos will be sold separately from gift cards for body piercing so be sure to specify for which service you wish to buy a gift card.
